Last time it was my remix of Dead Prez - Hip Hop, which didn't list my name at all. This time it's my remix of Treasure Fingers - Cross the Dancefloor and they got the info right so I'm credited properly. So fucking crazy to think I'm taking up airtime on there and that people are into the music I'm making. It makes me short of breath and soooooooo excited!

I just came across an entry in my old livejournal (old being the one I gave up on five years ago, not the one I started five years ago) talking about goals. Out of all of them—including ones like totally redefine everything I know (ha! who knew.) and have more fun than I could ever dream of (it's easy when you don't know what you're missing) the only ones I have yet to accomplish are visit Europe and South America and be in a band.

OK so I do still think being in a band might be fun (I'm totally content to do solo musical stuff for the most part), but reading that about how I've wanted to explore beyond the US so so much for so long cemented that I really just need to get those damn papers already. I do have rent and utilities to pay, some money during Sundance, and a fancy DJ mixer to buy.. but I can't afford the fancy DJ mixer yet anyway, it's gonna take another job getting finished first. Might as well grab that passport form tomorrow and make sure 08 is the year—no, January is the month—I do at least one thing I've tabled for every year since oh, 2000 or so.

Yelle, the French electropop artist who I've been way into the past year and a half and came somewhat close to bringing over to the US for a hanful of shows JUST HAD HER SINGLE ON THE OPENING SCENE OF THE SEASON FINALE OF ENTOURAGE. Motherfucker!

I mean.. not hating at all, just wish I'd figured out a way to bring her and her band over here this Summer. C'est la vie!

Not doing anything for the latter half of July? Wanna visit some rad clubs on the West coast and maybe see Daft Punk a couple times? Turns out I have no one to help out with driving for a chunk of the West coast part of my tour, coming up real real soon:

I was in Chicago for the past couple days and had the fortune of seeing Once yesterday. It was amazing. See it if it's playing near you; remember this and see it when it comes if you forget. When have my recommendations ever let you down?
